SLOWER.WORLD is operated by JSC Erste, company code 304572464, VAT No. LT100011038010, registered address Lauko g. 2-32, LT-74150 Jurbarkas, Lithuania. JSC Erste is the data controller for the processing described in this Policy.

Depending on how you use SLOWER.WORLD, we may process your email address and authentication data; account and language preferences; product access and entitlements; program enrolment, progress and completion data; private Journal reflections; assessment submissions and results; ratings you choose to provide; gift access and claim information; support correspondence; and limited technical, security and operational data needed to run and protect the service.

We do not make private Journal reflections or assessment answers available to creators or ordinary operational analytics. They are treated as private user content unless you deliberately share information through a feature that clearly says otherwise.

We process account, access, progress, Journal, assessment and gift data where necessary to provide the SLOWER.WORLD service you request and perform our agreement with you. We process security, fraud-prevention and limited service-operation data where necessary for our legitimate interests in keeping SLOWER.WORLD secure, reliable and understandable, while considering your rights and expectations.

Where the law requires consent for a particular optional activity, we will ask for it separately. We may also process information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

We use specialist providers to operate SLOWER.WORLD. The current core stack includes Supabase for database and authentication, Vercel for application hosting and deployment, and Resend / our configured email infrastructure for authentication and transactional email delivery. These providers process information only as needed for the relevant service and subject to their applicable data-protection terms.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or service security, or in connection with a legitimate corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Our primary Supabase project is hosted in the EU. Some service providers may process or support data from countries outside the European Economic Area. Where GDPR requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on an applicable lawful transfer mechanism provided for the relevant service, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards.

Account and product data is generally kept while your account remains active and while needed to provide the service. You may delete eligible private content earlier where the product provides that control.

When an account is deleted, personal product data is erased or anonymised from active systems within 30 days, except where information must be retained for legal, security or accounting reasons. Copies that remain temporarily in service providers' technical backups are removed according to those providers' normal backup-retention cycles and are not used for ordinary business activity.

Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

To exercise a privacy right, contact hello@slower.world. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI) or another competent supervisory authority.

SLOWER.WORLD is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly offer accounts or digital experiences to children.

SLOWER.WORLD may include wellbeing, educational and self-reflection experiences. The service is not a medical diagnostic or treatment service, psychotherapy, or emergency support. Information you enter into reflections or assessments is used to provide the relevant product experience and should not be treated as a clinical record.

At this stage SLOWER.WORLD uses only cookies or similar storage that are necessary for authentication, security and core technical operation. We do not currently use optional analytics or marketing cookies. See our Cookies page for more information.

We may update this Policy when the service, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and its update date will be published on this page. Material changes will be communicated where required.
